Fall Colors & Some Bling!

I just love these colors from the Pebbles kit!
I decided to use them for a Fall LO of our daughter playing dress up!
This kit came with so much bling I decided to use a lot of it on this LO!
All girls love bling!
I added the bling to the border strip and to the cluster of embellishments & the title!
Everything on this LO came with the kit except for the rhinestones on the letters and the green pom poms! The rhinestones are by Queen & Company that I bought from the Queen Scraps store!
If you what a kit that you can scrap all Seasons with then this is the kit to buy!!
This kit is so versatile with all the patterns and colors!

A Break from the Holiday Stuff...

So I don't know if you're feeling a little sick of green and red like I am. My craft space is covered in it these days as I try to finish up all my Christmas gift projects before it gets too crazy around here. I'm getting tired of Christmas colors already (and it's my favorite holiday of all time) and I have yet to decorate my house - which by the way becomes a veritable Christmas-fest. This months kit is such a nice diversion from the red and green I am engulfed in right now - such gorgeous springy colors, muted tones and great patterns. Enjoy this Easter layout I did using the kit, isn't it super Spring-y?

I used some of the Smooch Spritz in Spun Sugar (available in the Queen Scraps store) on the background cardstock just to soften it up a bit before I added all the patterned paper. Pick up your kit before they are all gone and take a break from the red and green of holiday projects for just a bit and let your mind wander to Springtime.

Another Pebbles LO fun with Ink & Mist!!

I created this LO using scraps from the Pebbles kit!!
I really wanted to use a lot of inking & misting!
I grabbed the Smooch Spritz that I bought from the Queen Scraps Store
and had fun!!
I used a tube to create the circles and used Electric blue and Pink Sprinkles and mixed the two for the light burgundy color!
The misting on the background I used Gingersnap!

This month's Pebbles Inc. kit comes with a generous handful of sequins, rhinestones and bling. I decided to border my half circles on this LO with all the seguins I could fit. I really like the outcome.

Today I wanted to make a little gift for a stocking stuffer for Christmas. A while ago I had grabbed some of these fun clear checkbook covers. They are simply perfect to alter for anyone and love how this months kits make the cover look. So here it is.

I did a little border punching, cut out some of the beautiful blue flowers from one of the papers, added the butterfly stickers and the pearl for the center of the flower. Love how it turned out and what a fabulous gift to give.

Versatility at Its Finest

I LOVED working with the November kit...it forced me to think out of my comfort zone as I usually gravitate towards the more masculine papers but look how cute this worked out for a layout about my son and fishing.

The "B" sides of these Pebbles papers rock...super cute, fun graphics that can go anywhere. May Bouquet isn't just for your Spring layouts you can tailor it to suit whatever photos you're working with. I even used an ink pad and my heat tool to make the sparkly sequins green and distort their shape. Hurry on over to the store and grab some for yourself before it's all gone.

Here is a Fall LO using the Pebbles kit!
I created this LO using a sketch by The Scrappiest!
The colors in these papers goes so well for a Fall theme LO!
Our daughter is painting her pumpkin and this is one of her favorite Fall activites with pumpkins!
Everything on this LO came with the kit except for the paper flowers, blue rhinestone, and the blue cardstock.
I ruffled the striped paper over the blue cardstock because I wanted the paper to flow like a ribbon!
Did you see some of the fun embellishments that came with this kit?!

This kit has a lot of fun embellishments I'm sure all of you will love!

Ok, let me just say i'm loving this kit!!! The fabulous papers from Pebbles, all the fun embellies and the variety of stickers! Here is a little gift bag I made using some of the goodies.

This little gift bag can be used to put gift cards or simply anything that will fit! I really like the colors and the flowers in this line. Super fun flowers that you can cut out and pop up on your creations.

Great Colors for Any Season!

When my Pebbles May Bouquet kit arrived I immediately thought of Spring and Easter layouts because of the cute florals and soft color palette. Things changed when I actually sat down to design my layouts. We were knee deep in changing leaves and the Fall decorations had made their way out of the basement and onto my shelves so I was feeling the golds and sage greens of Autumn. This kit worked perfectly for highlighting some of our fun Fall activities. Here is just one of the many layouts I created...

The little pumpkin accents were so easy to create using a 1" circle punch, a Copic marker, a little Smooch Spritz, and a bling stem cut from the floral bling that comes with the kit. I think they turned out super cute and they were so simple! Who would have thought...May Bouquet in the Fall. i made the rolled flowers and gave them a little smoosh with my palm to give the "petals" some life.

The mix of colors in the October LYB kit totally lent themselves to this fun layout about the gorgeous things I saw on my recent trip to Vegas. I love how the strips of patterned paper pull the colors from my photos. I was able to mix in embellishments from previous months' kits as well and they colors all blended fabulously. You can't beat that!

Fun with Flowers and Alcohol Inks!

Here is another LO using the Little yellow Bicycle Free Spirit Kit!
This is such a fun kit with so many fun colors and embellishments!
I fussy cut the flowers on the center and right side of the LO!
I added some Tim Holtz alcohol inks to the two acrylic flowers and added a brad!
If you dont have alcohol inks you can add some ink or decorate with some paper or rub ons!
The acrylic flowers are easy to work with and really add a lot of fun to your LO's and cards!

my daughter loves girl scouts!! she also loves when i make pages for her girl scouts album. i used this weeks nuts about sketches, sketch i added some leaves to my rolled flowers. i cut the leafe shape, and pinched the ends to give them some dimension.

So many fun different layouts you can make with this fabulous jam packed kit! The fun thing for me on the layout is that my daughter for some reason can't take a picture without giving me the peace sign. I have to take several pictures all the time in order to get a "normal" shot of her.

This layout is a simple one. I wanted it to focus on the picture and title. I added some brads across the bottom and did a little border punching. I again used one of the stickers from the sticker sheet and placed it under the title.

Here's another layout using this months Little Yellow Bicycle kit. I handmade the "strip" flowers using the patterned paper then added the wonderful flowers that came in the kit to the top for more pop. I just love the colors in the kit - fun, fresh and funky. Check it out for yourself!

Here is a Free Spirit LO using the lace paper that came with the kit I used for masking!
The green strip in the middle was my lace paper design!
I used Pink Sprinkles Smooch Spritz from the Queen Scraps store!
The cardstock came with the kit and I used some punch detail.
I added the title No fear because my daughter loves rock climbing and
here she is almost to the top!

My neice was wearing a shirt with a peace sign so I ran with the whole "groovy" theme. I love it when papers work perfect with your photos!

So...todays layout is a picture of my mom and aunt. I love the old black & white photo booth pic. This months kit totally reminds me of them back in the day. I'm thinking this picture is at least 30+ years old....which means there were probably alot of peace signs around that time :)

So I love open space on my layouts and you know it seems I can't do a layout without a little misting on it! I added a little journaling around the top left corner of the paper. The sticker sheet in this kit is fabulous...I cut the number 2 out of one of the sayings just so I could use the number.

Well ladies that is my creation for the day, hope you all have a fabulous weekend. :)

A Free Spirit & Her Giggles...

This little girl is truly a free spirit and the wonderful Little Yellow Bicycle kit available here was just perfect for a layout all about her. I did some serious altering/distressing of the papers for this layout. First I covered the white cardstock in Smooch Spritz Gingersnap which is currently out of stock in the Queen Scraps store but there are so many other colors to choose from here. Then I used my edge distressing tool and a little ink to rough up the 2" squares of patterned paper. I created my own flowers using my scalloped circle punch, a pair of scissors, and some Glossy Accents. The blue cardstock was cut, folded and sewn onto the layout to give the appearance of ribbon and then I used the lower case "b's" flipped over to serve as the other "g's" in my title. A few hand drawn lines and brads finished off the framing of this adorable little girl and her giggles. Enjoy!!!

Fun Papers and a LO to share from Little Yellow Bicycle!!

Here is some more fun papers from the Little Yellow Bicycle Kit!!
I used the green lace paper and the Loose Leaf Paper!
The designs on the Loose Leaf paper that I added colors to were blue and white and I wanted to add some more color!
For the clouds I used some Martha Stewart blue ink and I used several different colors with the Copic Markers on the swirls and flowers!
The Copic Markers I purchased from the Queen Scraps store and they have many more colors!
To add some more color I added some brads around the bottom picture,
the journal card, and added a blue acrylic flower to the right hand corner using alcohol ink.
The brads, acrylic flower, and journal card also came with the kit!
The Loose Leaf paper is so fun and so versatile so many different things you could use to add more color!

When I saw this kit, I was SO excited!! The colors in this kit are perfect for my 14 year old... all of her favorites! So, I decided to create a mini album for pics of her and her friends! I've had this album in my stash forever and this was the perfect opportunity to use it! With the exception of the album itself, some punches and my Cricut Expression, everything you see is in this groovy kit!!

i could not wait to share this mini with you guys!!!
i used the awesome october lyb kit!! i also used a pinecone press flip book, some dimensional pearls, glitery fabric paint, and stickles!

i added the glitter and fabric paint to the flowers, and the acrylic flower! i cut an orange flower from the die cut paper and layered it on the acrylic flower.
this book is so much fun! just pull the tab and the pages flip!!

i hope you all get one of these kits, the colors are soooo fabulous!!! i can't wait to share more of what i did with the kit with you next saturday!

Well first let me say happy October!!!! Ok ladies....the kit for this month is totally groovy. Not to mention the fact that its jam packed with goodies. Look at the fabulous thickers in the kit. Toooo cool! The papers are from Little Yellow Bicycle. The papers are so much fun! I had the perfect picture of my daughter for this kit. One of her dance costumes that reminds me of the 70's, add the shades and it's even better!!!!!!

I did a little doodling around the outside of the circle, some mist action and cut out a few things to pop them up. So grab your kit today and get your scrappy mojo flowing!

Basic Grey Oliver's Versatility...

So I sat down last night to make a few cards and decided to use up some of what I had left in the Basic Grey Oliver kit after having already made four 12" x 12" layouts. I came up with a few cards, all for different occasions, just to show you how versatile this kit truly is. For each of the cards I used a white card base that I had on hand.

The first card is for Christmas...I know, scary to think of how close it really is but we must face reality, it's just around the corner. For this card I kept it fairly simple, using card stock, one patterned paper, ribbon, a Basic Grey stamp set, white stamp ink, my Sakura Gelly Roll pen in Clear Star, and a black fine tip pen. It's hard to tell on-line but each snowflake was stamped in white ink then traced with the Clear Star pen which gives a beautiful sparkle and makes the snowflakes come alive.

This next card is a love card...perfect for Valentine's Day or just to let that special someone know how much you care. Here I used some of the doillie paper, a couple of the patterned papers, and a Basic Grey stamp set. Again a fairly simple card but so pretty. The sentiment reads "loving you more each day..."

The last card is a birthday card. I wanted this card to work for a boy's birthday since one of my son's has a party to go to tomorrow. Again, I used some of the card stock, a couple sheets of patterned paper, a few of the brads from the kit, another Basic Grey stamp set, colored pencils, and a black fine tip pen.

They are all fairly simple cards but it really shows how much you can do with one of the Queen Scraps kits...they are loaded with product and perfect for celebrating or documenting almost any occasion.

Scrapping with Scraps from the Oliver Kit!

Here is a fun LO I creatd with using some scraps from the BG Oliver kit!
I used Smooch Spritz in Spun Sugar from the Queen Scraps store!
I stamped the leaves and fussy cut them and added them to the LO.
To add some extra bling I stamp some swirls with glue and used Pink Pailsee pixee stix glitter in licorice from the QS store.
I used punches for the flowers and circles and added brads to each!
The kit come with a large variety of brads!!
I added the gorgeous velvet ribbon that also came with the kit!

I added some border strips with some scraps to add some more color, and used some scraps to frame the picture !

I completed the LO with using the beautiful BG pearls that also came with the kit!

A Couple of Cards with the BG Oliver Kit!

This kit made it easy to create both layouts & cards! These are a couple of cards I created using supplies from the kit!

For this card, I used another of the stitching templates from Bazzill (which I purchased from the Queen Scraps on-line store!) I wanted to add some extra dimension & texture to this card, without adding a lot of extra weight, so I could easily send it through the mail! :)

And this is a very simple Christmas Card created with scraps of patterned paper & a generic stamp I had on hand in my stash!

Another Fun BG Oliver LO!

I love all the monkeys in the Basic Grey Oliver kit so I really wanted to create a LO using them!!
The kit comes with the white embroidery floss I used to for the stitching.
I wanted to create a design to look like the monkeys are swinging and jumping from a rope to go along with my title!

This kit comes with an awesome variety of embellishments, and two sets of letters to create with!!
The embellishments that are included are velvet ribbon, opaline BG pearls, embroidery floss, and a large variety of brads!

With Basic Grey you just can't go wrong. The Oliver kit, available here, is so versatile. You can go with the classics of black, grey and red as I did in this layout or you can flip the papers and use the more colorful aquas and greens. The doillie paper was a little intimidating for me at first but once I started using it...I couldn't stop - it adds such a cool look to layouts and cards. Grab some of this Basic Grey goodness before it's all gone!

Loved everything included in this kit... including the floss! I love using whole strands of floss for stitching on my pages! It's adds texture & dimension without a lot of added weight!

For this first Layout, I used a ruler to create the holes for my stitching...

For this layout, I used one of the stitching templates from Bazzill, which I picked up in the Queen Scraps store to create the pattern for my stitching...

for this page i used the week 125 nuts about sketches sketch! isn't it a fun page??!!???!! i cut out the little monkeys and put them on popdots. i ran the ribbon through the xyron and placed it on the page (much easier than sewing those pleats!!!)
I LOVE that the kit has 2 alphas!!!

and for this one i used the 9/5 sunday sketch from the every day scrapper.

i used to hate using sketches, now it's the first thing i grab when it comes time to scrap!

Can you believe this week's kit...is it not absolutely gorgeous??? The color palette and patterns immediately spoke "vintage" to me so with a little distressing of the edges, I came up with these two layouts.

This is my great-grandparents farm. I did purchase the add-on die cuts available here in the Queen Scraps store. I used the Smooch Spritz in Spun Sugar to "age" the look of the background cardstock as well. This can also be purchased here in the Queen Scraps store. I'll post a tutorial for the rolled, paper flowers later this week in the Queen Scraps Forums.

This other layout is of my grandmother when she was younger. Once again I used some of the die cuts from the add-ons and the Smooch Spritz to age the background cardstock.

Lastly, I made a card based on a challenge sketch on a blog I follow...totally simple and once again used the Smooch Spritz and add-on die cuts (can you tell I'm loving this combination). The card base is simply a piece of kraft cardstock I had in my own supplies. I'll share some additional cards I made using parts of this kit and scraps from my own supplies later in the week.

School Project...

This is layout where DD was making a school project. She was making a paper mache egg...that would be cut in half where her dragon that she make out of a sweatshirt would be coming out of....What a project that was.....I'm not sure she was real thrilled about playing with the paste!!

On this layout I used the Boho Girl kit, some of the white letters from a previous Pink Paislee kit, and well....you know....I gotta have my smooch mists!!!! I used gingersnap & a tiny bit of limolicious. I think I was a little mist happy on this one :)

First "Airbrushed" tat

Well let me first start by saying...Happy August!!! Wow where has the year gone???

Ok....so DD is WAY to young to get a tat....however at Six Flags she did get a airbrushed tat. She loved it!!!

On this layout I used the fun kit Boho Girl. Super cute kit....love the colors just everything about it. I used one of my oval punches to punch the little owl out and did some doodling around him. And yes I finally did some stitching with a real sewing machine!!! How about that rocking orange ribbon???? LOVE IT!!!!! Now to bring out the blue in the owl I used some Cosmo Cricket tiny type alphas...which are in one of the August kits Imaginisce Splash Dance...grab both of these kits now ladies...they won't last long!!!

Hey there everyone.....happy mid week to all of you. I was very lucky to get to play with Fancy Pants Rusted Sun kit this month.

Umm......LOVE IT!!! The colors are so fun and fabulous. You can use this kit for anything!!!! Oh the add-on's......WOOHOOO!!!!!!!! Buttons, rub-ons....it's like heaven. Now on my second layout....you know I just had to use some misting which you can also grab at the Queen Scraps store :)

So i'm so in love with this kit. Everything about it is simply FABULOUS!!! The paper and the colors, the ribbon, oh and love, love, love the letter stickers. Here are a couple of layouts I did using this kit and of course some smooch mist that you can grab over at the store.

I loved using the strip across the bottom of your paper that has all of the manufactuer info on it. I used my small circle punch to punch out the USA from made in the USA and placed it on my layout. Perfect little addition since these pics are from the 4th of July.

Good Morning! Well, let me tell you, I just LOVED the Pink Paislee Queen Bee Kit this month!! I have TONS of heritage photos that need scrapping, and I'm always struggling with what papers to use!! This kit was PERFECT! Now, don't get me wrong, it's perfect for more than just heritage photos, but it was just what I needed to get started on some of these photos!!

Here are two layouts I created using this beautiful kit!!

These photos are from my grandparent's honeymoon in 1939!

I found a whole envelope full of photos from this trip!

Everything you see on this layout is included in the kit.

To get some of the "shapes" you see, I used my Cricut Expression & a selection of border punches & I also created a handmade flower for that finishing touch!

This next layout includes one of my mom & dad's wedding photos from 1968!

I now have this layout in a frame & I think I need to order another one of these kits so that I can scrap a photo from my in-law's wedding & have a matching set for the wall!!

This layout couldn't have been any more simple!! The kit had the PERFECT selection of papers to make this layout exactly what I wanted!! Everything you see is included in the kit. Just by creating some handmade flowers & a title (using the Cricut Expression), I was able to complete this layout in no time!

The texture of this paper is soooo cool, and all of the add-ons you can get to go with it rock! This is one of my layouts I created with this kit!

using border stickers

this kit is so perfect for boys and girls! one of my favorite parts of this kit are the border stickers!i used the stitched and loopy one on this page.

i cut the stitched one and originally was just going to use it on the dotted paper. then decided to use the last piece so my title wasn't just hanging there.

isn't the loopy one fun? the page was fine without it, but it really added that something extra to the bottom of the page!

i love how all the dt members used theirs!

Here is one of my LO I created with this awesome kit!!

I made the large flower with using some pattern paper and electric blue Smooch Spritz which I bought from the Queen Scrap store!
To add some bling I use some pixee stix glitter in licorice for the center of the flower.

i matted the sweet sticker on the striped paper

i used pop dots on the sweet and yummy accents

Summer Picking

Here is another creations using the Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety kit. I don't sew on a sewing maching but really wanted some stitching on this layout. So I used the green floss that came in the kit and did some hand stitching around the picture in the lower left corner. I cut this out of the elements sheet since it went perfectly with the "picking" theme. Here is a close up of the hand stitching.

On the edges of the pattern paper I did a little sanding action to give the paper a different look. I also inked the edges of the cardstock and the pattern paper.

Hey there everyone, Happy June to you!!!! So I have been playing with the Garden Variety kit for the month of June, and i'm loving it. Here is a layout I created of DD picking berries last year.

And here is a close up of the flower, which you can see how to make this flower over in the forum under the tutorial section.
The little bumble bee comes on the elements sheet in the kit. It is perfect to punch out with a punch and pop dot him up.
